South Africa is truly blessed with a combination of spectacular scenery, fascinating wildlife, beautiful weather and friendly locals. It offers a well-rounded holiday, combining as many elements as you want to in your trip. If you want history, fine beaches, superb cuisine, wondrous wildlife, adventure, or just return to question..
1. Are there still places available.
We work on a first-come, first served basis. At this stage since July is South Africa's Winter, nobody else has booked for that period.
2. How many are on each safari.
We need a minimum of 4 to make a trip viable with a maximum of 8 for safety reasons
3. Is this a good time of the year for safaris and diving.
Very difficult to answer that. Natal has a sub-tropical climate similar to Florida and Winter there is mild. So much so, in fact that it is called the "secret season" as crowds are down due to the perception that Winter is unpleasant. However, sea conditions can be unpredictable and the mountains can sometimes get snowfalls. Mornings can be brisk but the day warms up quickly and some prefer it to the out and out heat of Summer.
4. Is it the season for white water rafting.
No such thing as white water in South Africa and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Rivers normally run brown due to sediment they pick up and white water rafting can't be compared to the same experience in, say, Austria or New Zealand. That said, though, we do do some river trips on out other itineraries but they are not White water rafting as such. We do not cover White water rafting in our itineraries but can introduce it as an extra option if you like.
5. How many dives are possible.
We spend 4 days at the dive site and I think they limit divers to 2 dives per day. That is something we can discuss if you would prefer to spend more time diving and less at some other activity
6. Is diving and white water rafting included in the price.
Diving, yes, white water rafting, no.
