Game park lounge - Click for enlarged Photo The private game reserve where you will be staying has a combination of indoor and outdoor recreation areas. This is a view of the lodge lounge which forms part of the lodge complex. This room is free for use at any time by guests and is used on occasions but most socialising is done outside on the balcony overlooking the bush. Both areas have a bar and provide relaxing environment where the day's events and sightings are discussed over a drink.

This is where evening meals are prepared and taken out under the stars. In the background is the outdoor bar and recreation area and on the left is one of the group of rondawels which make up the guest accommodation in the camp. Story-telling and sharing of the day's experiences are part of the way of life in Africa and the fire and a good meal create just the right setting for this.

Most people want to see some of the "big five", Click for enlarged Photoalthough perhaps not from this close. We spotted this lioness from the relative safety of our LandRover and she resented our intrusion. Quite a thrill and a reminder that we are visitors in her area.

This is a white rhino and her calf.Click to get even closer! Fortunately for us, the white rhino is not as aggressive as the black rhino and we were safe in our vehicle. Although it looks, and was, very close, the guides are professionals and we weren't at risk.

These graceful animals materialised out of the bush as we were watching. Elegant and graceful, they feed on the Acacias in the area.

Cape Town is at the foot of the mountain and is about 10km away.

Clifton's beaches are easily among the most beautiful in the world. Clifton beaches - Click for enlarged PhotoThis is Cape Town's Cote D'Azur and attracts large crowds of holidaymakers. Just around the corner is Camps Bay, an equally impressive beach with less crowding and seaside bars and cafes. It takes determination to swim here - the water is fresh from Antartica.

This is Cape Town's most popular tourist area, and a starting point for many activities around the city. Similar to Sydney's Darling Harbour, it, too, is a busy working harbour and life goes on The popular Waterfront - Click for enlarged Photoaround the attractions and shopping malls. It is a good spot to unwind over a drink or meal while shopping for souvenirs or just watching life in a harbour.
